One Sunny Afternoon

0

The sun-kissed garden of early spring

Wears a carpet of bright, lush green hue

The exuberance of flowers, the singing birds,

Steal my heart with their enchanting view.

The warm tone of the golden gleam

Slowly emerges from behind the clouds

Like a mischievous elf, peeping from its hiding place

Sprinkling pixie dust all around.

What magic did this picture hold

Upon which my gaze prevailed

Beneath the thick layer of spring,

An innocent poetry lay unveiled.

If you intend to raise the cover

And bring out the mystery that’s hiding there,

Listen to the music of the birds around,

And sing to the cuckoo’s tune, here.
