Mysterious Light: A Poem by Dr. Mallika Tripathi

While witnessing the velvet canvas of night,
I often get frightened in the depths of night,
A symphony of silence weaves a cryptic sweep,
Where horrifying shadows dare to creep.
Engulfing darkness and starlight intertwine,
In the ravine of the sublime,
A crimson thread through the abyss,
I stand aghast to see the cosmos bleed.
A silent cry, a mournful gleam,
Often haunts me in my dreams,
Each apparition sings a silent song,
Of people forgotten, ages long.
Nebulous whispers swirl in the cosmic sea,
Holding my breath I strive to see,
In the ghastly expanse I witness a mysterious light,
Colours in the dark sky in an immortal night.
