Childhood Home: A Poem by Kishor Kumar Mishra

Ensconced within the fortified walls
Enshrouded by the mightiest elders
Friendly neighborhood all around
A place where we spent childhood.
More beautiful than paradise
Palatial comforts did we feel
Here journey of our life started
A place where we spent childhood.
Temple of learning for youngsters
Dreams and Hopes built up here
Abode of our living Gods
A place where we spent childhood.
Treasure trove of happy memories
All quarrel and play with siblings
A place among places in the world
Our childhood home, our pride.
