The Sound of Silence : A Poem by Parul Srivastava

Extensive
Enchanting with its enormity
It encroaches
And encircles my entity.

Strong
Seductively it sways in
Then swerves
And swirls into a spin.

Maneuvering
Molding me around its arms
It manifests a myriad of emotions
And mystique charms

Dimensionless
It is so dark and dense
Its deep dimness
Designing a dramatic defense

Whimsical
It whimpers and wheedles
Whining and whispering
It whistles willowy wheezles

Such serene and stormy
And callous and calm
The Sound of Silence embraces me in shackles
Whilst feigning a balm.
