PRESS RELEASE: DOWN SYNDROME DAY CELEBRATION IN AHMEDABAD

Asian Literary Society in association with New Way Special School, Ahmedabad organized the ALS performing Arts event Felicitation Ceremony in Ahmedabad on the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day on 21st March 2024.

Manoj Krishnan (Founder, ALS), Zeba Hashmi (Administrator, ALS), and Jagdish Chandra Patel (Founder, New Way Special School) congratulated all the participants for their outstanding performances. In this event, more than 55 participants from all over India enthusiastically participated. Their performances were telecast on the ALS Parwaaz Forum and ALS Performing Arts Forum online platforms. Participants of the Blind People’s Association were also awarded medals and certificates along with the special needs children from New Way Special School, Ahmedabad.

Mr. Manoj Krishnan (Founder, ALS), in his message, said that ALS Parwaaz Forum was committed to supporting individuals of all ages with various disabilities, alongside their families and caregivers. He thanked ALS Parwaaz Forum volunteers, Mr. Jagdish Patel (Founder, New Way Special School), and the Blind People’s Association for their valuable support.

World Down Syndrome Day, 21 March, is a global awareness day that has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012.
