Asian Literary Society (ALS) organized the event ALS Legends: A Journey of Kiren Babal on 13th December 2024 at CSOI, New Delhi to celebrate and commemorate the enriching literary journey of one of its senior members, Kiren Babal.
Mr. Manoj Krishnan (Author and Founder, ALS) welcomed the distinguished guests, authors and participants, and congratulated Ms.Kiren Babal for her inspiring literary journey. The distinguished guests, Dr. Amarendra Khatua (Former Secretary, MEA), Mr. Rohit Suri (Photographer and Founder-Studio V18), Ms. Oblokulova Dilafruz (Author, Uzbekistan) graced the occasion with their august presence.
Ms. Vandana Bhasin (Editor, ALSphere Magazine) highlighted the achievements and contributions of Ms. Kiren Babal. She mentioned that Ms. Babal always beams with energy with her active participation in literature, social causes, environmental causes, health and fitness initiatives, and music and dance.
Ms. Babal’s new poetry collection, ‘Shimmers and Rays’, was also launched at the event. This collection is not just poetry; it is a reflection of her life’s journey, her inner world, and her brave spirit. With each poem, Kiren Babel reveals a heart that has endured hardship, a spirit that has refused to wane, and a voice unafraid to speak the truth. Her words shimmer like soft beams breaking through a dense fog, lighting up even the darkest corners of emotion and introspection.
The program was moderated by Ms. Vandana Bhasin and Ms. Neeti Parti. The event ended with the felicitation of distinguished guests, and Ms. Kiren Babal, followed by a vote of thanks.
The Asian Literary Society’s ALS Legends received an overwhelming response from all the participants who applauded ALS and its literary initiative.
