Asian Literary Society’s Art Exhibition Jan 2020 at CSOI, New Delhi
The Asian Literary Society (ALS) – a popular community that promotes Asian art, culture, and literature, has organized a week-long art exhibition at the Art Gallery, Civil Services Officers’ Institute (CSOI), New Delhi, from 4th to 11th January 2020.
Twenty-eight artists from all over India are participating in this exhibition, with a display of their paintings in various Asian art styles. The artists include Ms. Sumita Kakkar, Dr. Aparna Pradhan, Ms. Lippi Parida, Ms. Anita Chand, Ms. Payal Agarwal, Ms. Ritu Bhatnagar, Ms. Shivpriya, Ms. Anjali Naik, Ms. Gaurisha Singh, Ms. Nirmala Singh, Ms. Neeti Parti, Ms. Itee Jain, Dr. Latika Shah Singh, Mr. Manoj Krishnan, Ms. Lubna Ahmed, Ms. Kiren Babal, Ms. Deyasini Roy, Ms. Ameeta Verma, Ms. Kalyani S. Naravane, Ms. Aditi Narang, Ms. Priya Mathivanan, Ms. Diwita Mathivanan, Ms. Rakhi Poddar, Ms. Neetu Malik, Ms. Neetika Suryawanshi, Ms. Prachi Rastogi, Ms. Yana Bhanot, and Ms. Smriti Bakshi.
The exhibition was inaugurated at 4 p.m. on 4th January 2020 at the hands of the Chief Guest Shri Devraj Dakoji (prominent artist) in the presence of dignitaries including Mr. Manoj Krishnan (Founder, ALS), Dr. Mridula Tandon (Founder, Sakshi – an NGO), Shri Sudershan Kcherry (CEO, Authorspress), Ms. Kiren Babal (eminent writer), as well as Dr. Rakshanda Roohi Mehdi and Ms. Anita Chand (Joint Curators of this exhibition). The participating artists were felicitated after the inauguration ceremony.
Many eminent artists and art aficionados will be attending the week-long exhibition. The event is another feather in the cap of the Asian Literary Society, which has taken the initiative to spread awareness about various Asian art forms and also to promote the exemplary artwork of talented artists.
