Nature’s Gifts: A Poem by Vasudha Pansare

Mother nature’s gifts are innumerable,
Look around and you will find
A precious gift in every corner.

Look at the trees which bring rain,
And yet the greedy cut them,
Again and again and again.

Look at the lovely rivers,
Full of invaluable water,
Which are polluted by foolish humans.

Look at the majestic mountains,
Which are plundered by humans,
For their profit and gain.

Look at the fertile soil,
Which grows precious grain,
That too is polluted again and again.

Look at the vast oceans and seas,
Full of beautiful creatures,
Choking with plastic that we throw.

Mother nature has many gifts for us,
Which we waste and destroy.
