There was a fear of losing you,
Upon reaching the destination,
So I purposely took a wrong turn,
Without much deliberation.
Better than arriving alone,
Is travelling with you, I realised,
To keep the journey going,
To the best of my abilities, I tried.
You thought we were lost,
But I knew exactly what I was doing,
To a place that takes me from you,
I was sure I wasn’t going.
Together we continued to travel,
To places far and beyond,
The more time I spent with you,
The more peace and joy I found.
Happiness on your face revealed,
Something you already knew,
With you I can never be lost,
I found my destination, the day I found you!
