Breathtaking Bali: A Poem by Amrita Chatterjee

Tired and exhausted if in need of vitamin sea,
A holiday is a must to the breathtaking Bali.
Bliss abounds in this beautiful island of God,
Intricately carved temples for centuries have enthralled.

White beaches encircling the blue caressed by waves frothy,
Swimming, surfing, sunbathing, sipping sun in a smoothie.
Kuta, to dance the night away to disco beats,
Jimbaran, for culinary excellence in a quiet retreat.

Ayung river rafting to feel the rush of adrenaline,
National Park ‘s rich display of flora fauna hearts win.
Biking through Ubud to feast on the scenery around,
Hike on Mt. Batur with its view of Lake Batur astound.

Terraces of rice, bountiful vegetation,  greens welcome the eyes,
Waterfalls at bends and turns of east and north mesmerize.
Scenes of Ramayana unfold on open clifftop through Kecak dance,
Calm bays, eel and coral gardens are sure to entrance.

Confluence of sun, sea, slopes takes ones breath away,
Priceless memories of a lifetime to take away.
