Beauty of nature: A poem by Amrita Chatterjee

Steep rolling hills touching clouds frilly,
Feisty falls tumbling down hills merrily.
Rainbow in the sky bidding rain goodbye,
Deep dark nights serenaded by glittery fireflies.

Azure blue sea rushing in perpetual waves,
Perched l9ve that for heaven’s love craves.
Blooms of varied hues home to luminous dew,
Each night a promise of a day brand new.

Diamonds in the obsidian sky that glow,
Full-bodied rivers in full throttle flow.
Butterflies and bees that flowers tease,
The howling storm mellowing down to a caressing breeze.

The golden expanse of the salubrious desert,
Sheets of snow the world to wonderland convert.
Branches of trees decked with feathery warbling creatures,
Swathes of green wilderness that wildlife features.

Calls of birds fill the air with honey melody,
Even in discord nature plays with prosody.
Shades of green splashed against the sky serene,
Earth and sky reveling with bountiful nature in between.
