Buried in hearts, untold stories reside,
Awaiting listening ears, where trusting, they can confide.
Ears unbiased, free from judgments and fear,
Understanding, empathizing, showing that they care.
We all seek an ear, a support we yearn to find,
Where whispers unspoken, emotions uninhibited unwind.
A compassionate vessel where our regrets, guilts or sorrows may flow,
To be absorbed and transformed, helping us to grow.
Pages of a diary, for a writer may suffice,
But those short of words, often say them with tears in their eyes.
Lend such an ear to someone, if one you cannot find,
A lifeline of empathy, where burdened hearts unwind.
