At the Edge of the Universe

-1

I wonder what lies at the periphery of the universe.

Is there nothing or a gateway to another cosmos?

Or a boundless night, swallowing everything there,

But have I truly reached the edge of the universe?

Maybe not, as I’ve touched only the observable one,

Still, so oblivious to the vastness of this macrocosm.

After striding through billions of stars, no answer yet,

Then will we ever find the end of the whole universe?

Perhaps, only when we realise that there also exists,

A replica of the cosmos lies in us; we haven’t seen it.

The day we reach the bottom of the abyss of the soul,

Then we will also touch the true edge of the universe.

This body that we are gifted with carries every wonder.

The blazing warmth of the sun that burns as desire in us.

The whispering breath of the wind that keeps us alive,

And then, this entire universe, expanding deep within.
