ALS Parwaaz Forum organized a Training program on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day
On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, the Asian Literary Society’s ALS Parwaaz Forum in association with New Way Special School organized a parents training program and an assessment session for children with autism at Porecha Auditorium in Ahmedabad.
Ms. Zeba Hashmi, (Administrator, ALS) in her inaugural address, stressed upon the need to empower special needs parents and caregivers and how to help them to understand their children and manage their challenges. Ms. Damini Patel was the expert speaker who shared various strategies to train children with Autism. Mr. Michael Pillai and Ms. Murali Srinivas also addressed the audience and discussed various problems faced by special needs families and caregivers. In this program, many special needs parents and caregivers enthusiastically participated and appreciated ALS Parwaaz Forum for this initiative.
Mr. Manoj Krishnan (Founder, ALS), in his message, said that ALS Parwaaz Forum was committed to support individuals of all ages with various disabilities, alongside their families and caregivers. He thanked ALS Parwaaz Forum volunteers, Mr. Jagdish Patel (Founder, New Way Special School), and Blind People’s Association for their valuable support.
United Nations General Assembly has declared 2nd April as World Autism Awareness Day. It is observed every year to support people with autism and help to improve their lives.
