Starry night: A poem by Albert Juniho Onwuchekwa

candle of reminisce dawning with the twilight
adorns mother’s nature with flickering delight
beckons boisterous clap of wind for the perky feast
dancing to the cosmic symphony of frozen mist
at dusk, the whispering wind drifts into the cloud
resonating lullaby of orchestrated dreams aloud
on the velvet carpet of sky bud with starry night
as the moon peeps from the cocoon of fairy light
it plays hide and seek with gleaming stars in space
under the canopy of night’s twinkling eyes at the blaze
hovering the branches of the cloud with sumptuous rays
with translucent beams tracing hues of the magical maze.
