My Wandering Heart’s Tryst With Nature’s Oeuvre: A Poem by Ritu Kamra Kumar

My wandering heart flies high on the wings of fantasy
Propels the wobbling  aircraft  of life in teal skies

Ditties of my heartbeat hum in carefree cadence
The irises  of my eyes gaze agog  with inquisitive  Innocence

Unbridled, untamed like Shakespeare’s  Katherine  it walks on untrodden  wild
Gallops with whoops, dances delightfully like an innocent  child

On chariot of rambling heart, I wander languidly  in jovial jocund spirit
A glimpse of vales, mountains, rivers, oceans spellbound I croon lively lyrics

Virgin  Nature’s beauty,  unpruned & unblemished becomes the heart’s  therapy
Elated, rich beyond the treasure  of kings my heart rejoices in Divine  bounty

In gentleness of heart, drenched  in the spirit  of wood’s verve
I weave a swing to heaven  with Nature’s oeuvre
