When Rain is the Purge

0

Pelting rain piercing through, teasing some romantic strain,

Taking a chance on dabby weather that rinses all pain.

The grime accrued on surfaces saying last adieu,

And bitter-sweet memories dissolved in dulcet reinforced view.

The overladen clouds subtly dragging the imminent caliginous phase,

Breaking their preponderance to douse the parched soil and solar blaze.

A culminating brouhaha of petrichor is raised,

Monsoon diary invokes again the muses of nostalgic days.

A cup of streaming cappuccino brewing some favourite symphony on lips,

And pitter-patter prosody of rain emerges with helicon tips.

Its unstinting downpour incites the philharmonic bliss to my distorted self,

Cleansing the scars of my sufferings as in its profusion I delve.

The raindrops trickling down the window pane, hazing the world yonder,

Its sonorous rhythm lulls a monotony to sweet slumber.

I shall entwine it in my veil to rinse all accrued mundane pain,

Cascading with immaculate strain, it filtrates my soul to remain unstained.
