Unfulfilled dreams: A poem by Dr. Sai Surve-Rane

In a dark, dusty corner,
Away from prying eyes, it lay.
Shrouded in webs of old desires,

An empty box kept hidden away.

It had nothing to show for itself-
No trinkets of memories
Nor logs of accomplishments,
No spoils of victories.

But it held a strange power,
A pull, an incredible force,
That only vacuum can exert,
And only the endless void knows.

Power of infinite possibilities,
Hope, of a thousand gurgling streams,
Empty though the void may seem,
It held all those unfulfilled dreams.
