Tombs–A Sacred Memory

0

The dead buried in the graveyard–

Aren’t they the ones who remain alive in hearts?

They lie here at peace with themselves,

How many hearts are homes to restlessness,

That haunt them day and night as they are missed with helplessness

The tombs are objective manifestations–a sacred memory

Gone are  they forever to their heavenly abode

Free from the realm of fret, follies and foibles

Trials and tribulations, agony and anxieties

United with Divine power, they live in serenity

Err! Sleep Thy in a peaceful sleep

In the benevolent  God’s embrace

In thy memory, many  wander and weep

Well! You lived a life of glorious  grace

All of us have to lie here and merge with the dust

A glimpse of our final destination is a reminder

Live life to the fullest with acts kind and deeds exemplary

When dear ones visit our tombs, they say with a tone of pride

How well they lived their lives in delight and dignity!
