The Aqua Queen: A Poem by Sai Harshitha Mopuru

Flowing down through the Hill and Dale
Born from mountains high
Collecting rocks, soil and dust
Till in the ocean deep

Searching for the ocean, her home
But a nomad flowing in the day
Giving help to all creatures
She is water and a home to some

She causes chaos in the rains
Coldness and anger rushes
Flooding our cities and homes
She bubbles, grows and gushes

Yet in times of drought
It is her we crave, to save us from the heat
Once she is found, we are happy as can be
For her coolness rushes through you and me
