Shatter the echoes of silence: A poem by Parul Srivastava

The heartbeat reverberates in anticipation and the breath paces its way,
When I hear the amber leaves rustle while the pines enjoy a sway.

The setting sun colors me pink as I look around in hope,
For his arrival in the celestial glow is a Phanerozoic trope.

And even as the last trace of blush dissolves and the silver crescent beams over,
My heart holds on to its rhythm and the breath refuses to go slower.

For I know the day will come perhaps in an eon more dense,
When the skies will glow and our unison will shatter the echoes of silence.

Till then, with an unrested heart and yearnfilled eyes,

I will continue to trod past till the piercing mundanity dies.
