Petrichor: A poem by Dr. Sonia Gupta

O’ when drizzling raindrops fall down with pitter-patter,
And get embraced in the lap of mother earth,
Tiny droplets get mingled into the mud on the ground,
A sweet aroma then leaves a magical spell all around!
Drinking the cup of its nectar every heart gets brimmed,
Feet start dancing and the soul joyfully sings,
Aha! amazing feelings are cherished inside,
The whole world seems to be a paradise!
Fragrance in the air soothes the mind,
This petrichor is so serene and divine,
In its embrace little buds and petals blossom,
O’ it’s a nature’s gift, so very awesome!
Everyone loves this petrichor whether children or old,
See, how so many precious treasures nature beholds,
Neither any shape nor any texture,
Not visible, not captured, yet a unique character!
Every creation wishes to bath in this aroma joyfully,
Every particle gets drowned in this perfume fully,
Aha! see how silently this petrichor plays its magic,
O’ nature’s beauty is wonderful and magnetic!
