I capture every moment that speaks to me,
I keep it very safe under a lock and key.
Picking up bits and pieces, I add to my mind’s kaleidoscope now and then;
Exploding with ideas, I then take to my pen!
Rejuvenated and energised, I create new challenges,
And beat life’s numerous setbacks, however savage.
The story that emerges is straight from my heart,
And strikes the audience like a bull’s eye dart!
Storyline and dramatisation is no child’s play,
It’s far too easy to lose the plot and quickly stray.
To create that ‘hook’ which keeps the interest alive,
Is a defining moment like a car’s test drive!
Seeing a full house on day one of the show,
Makes the writer within me glow.
As the curtains rise for the first act,
I feel blessed to see the interest piqued and their faces rapt!
