O Aurora, Light of Mine!

For I beheld; she was the sun herself –

bright and unapologetic; blinded common man with her sheer brilliance

She was a flame that refused to be extinguished,

Her flames jumping and dancing merrily,

O aurora, light of mine!

O aurora, don’t lose your shine.

Yet she was unaware,

She cast an impression wherever she went,

Glowing brighter–

A kind of radiance so out of reach no one could come close to it.

O aurora, do you see the glow you cast?

O aurora, you make people look to the future and leave behind their past,

O aurora, how is your love so vast?

O aurora, tell me, how does everyone leave you so fast?

People stayed away,

Kept their distance from her to keep themselves safe,

To stay in their own bubble of darkness,

Away from the enlightenment that came with her shine,

But I couldn’t help myself, I went closer and burned up unknowingly,

Because how can you not fall in love with the Sun?
