Nomad: A Poem by Sophia Joseph

A soul on fire, with wanderlust’s flame
Driving them forth, to explore, to roam, to claim
Their heart beats fast, with every new sight
Freedom’s call, they can’t resist the light

Tears fall like rain, as they leave behind
Memories, loved ones, a piece of their mind
But the wind whispers secrets, of far-off lands
And the sun’s warm touch, on their skin, expands

Their path unwinds, like a river’s flow
Ever-changing, yet their spirit glows
With every step, a new tale unfolds
Of dreams pursued, and stories yet untold

In the silence of night, they hear a call
A whisper in the darkness, to stand tall
Their soul on fire, with a burning desire
To chase the sun, and never tire

Their home is where the heart resides
In moments lived, with love and pride
For they know, that life’s a journey long
And beauty lies, in a wandering song

So let them roam, with heart aglow
And may their spirit, forever glow
For in their wanderlust, we find our own
A call to adventure, to explore and roam.
