Monsoon season brings joy, romance, desires, longing, and thereby a surge in our creativity. ALS celebrated the arrival of Monsoon in the month of July. Asian Literary Society, ALS Performing Arts, ALS Arts & Crafts, ALS Photography Forum, and ALS Women’s Alliance communities celebrated the monsoon with week-long daily challenges. It was a great pleasure to see the warm response ALS received from its community members who enthusiastically participated in these challenges.
Asian Literary Society (ALS)
Asian Literary Society organized the Weekly English Poetry Contest, fortnightly The Spirit of Asia Contest, and monthly Hindi Poetry Contest.
ALS Women’s Alliance
ALS Women’s Alliance organized Daily Challenges and SELFIETHON-JULY 2023. Community members enthusiastically participated in these challenges and were felicitated on successfully completing them.
ALS Indigenous Languages
ALS Indigenous Languages organized Ebbing Echoes- Episode 10 on “Uipo (Khoibu): An Endangered Language of Manipur”. Distinguished Guests were Mosyel Syelsaangthyel Khaling (Uipo Language Expert) and Dr. Laishram Bijenkumar Singh (Assistant Professor-Centre for Naga Tribal Language Studies, Nagaland University)

The deep bond that is shared between a brother and sister is indescribable. There is a sense of forever commitment, belongingness, security, support and inner strength that helps them achieve bigger things together. It is a pure source of courage in the face of adversity. Such a special bond is shared by Dipti Lalchand and her sibling Avinash Lalchand, who was diagnosed with Down Syndrome.
