Jubilant Jasmine: A Poem by Dr. Mallika Tripathi

Beneath the celestial canvas, bathed in silvery light,
I behold Goddess Athena, an embodiment of wisdom and might,
Cradling the Night Jasmine, a treasure trove unearthed,
My heart swells with euphoria, as if uncovering a sanctified secret.

The Jasmine, jubilant, pure and true,
Reflecting grace in midnight’s hue,
Night brightens with the moon’s gentle glow,
Cogitations meander to other flowers, wilting unheeded, shimmering low.

Yet, for Jasmine, ecstasy abounds,
Touched by the deity, salvation beckons,
In quietude, its Midas touch shows,
Transforming all, it touches into resplendent gold.

Amidst the hush of midnight’s zephyrs,
Its blossoms whisper, mellow and rare.
Each petal holds a murmured tale,
Of love and longing, soft and frail.

In the alchemy of midnight’s designs,
Where Jasmine and Athena intertwine,
As stars above in silence shine,
An aureate vista, by their enigmatic presence, aligns.
