Change: A poem by Shamsul Haq

As we’ve embarked on life’s wonderful journey
Our hours of mellow morning change to golden evening
Some with some purposes, other with hidden agenda
In the world of mist and mystery, each entity struggling
The matrix of the world is hitherto undeciphered
What’s the cause of one’s rise, the reason for fall?
He who can adroitly adapt to the abrupt change
For sure, that toiling soul can only stand tall
Change teaches inherently, a paradigmatic lesson
A frail human, if can withstand oddities with utmost skill
There, change is desirable if we can ably acclimatize
A defeated wrangler can win again with rejuvenated zeal
A shorebound ship steers despite tempest storm
Change of weather can’t stop it moving forward
A sailor keeps his eyes on eye of the storm
Changing deftly its course, the ship moves smoothly onward
Changes keep us engaged with a plethora of perspectives
A world with vistas of opportunities lie in line
Up the dusky height lies there the sky of twilight
Night’s darkness ushers in a heraldic morning time
