Asian Literary Society and India Habitat Centre organized a panel discussion on the book- “Beyond the Horizon -Inspiring Stories of Special Needs Families” on the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day at India Habitat Centre on 21st March 2024.
Manoj Krishnan (Editor & Founder, ALS), Anita Chand (Administrator, ALS), Dr. Madalsa Mathur (Former HoD, Microbiology, GTB Hospital), Sumita Kakkar (Founder, Gyandeep Growth Foundation) and Dr. Shweta Mathur Lall (Consultant, Apollo Hospital) were the panelists. This discussion was moderated by Ms. Kiren Babal. ALS community leaders and ALS members Vandana Bhasin, Mousumee Baruah, Neeti Parti, Dr. Nisha Wadhwa, Seema Srivastava, Manisha Amol, Geeta Kishore, Tanuja Thakur and Meenakshi Bhasin also addressed the esteemed audience.
Manoj Krishnan shared the vision behind this book project and thanked all those who contributed to this anthology. He also talked about the Asian Literary Society and ALS Parwaaz Forum and highlighted their initiatives for special needs people. In Beyond the Horizon, stories of special needs families have been included. These real-life inspiring stories will motivate special needs families and caregivers. Every story is unique and full of emotions that will touch the heart’s core. The book has been compiled and edited by Mr. Manoj Krishnan.
