Who or what inspired you to embark on your own journey in the world of arts?
The ability of painting is a gift to me, I took the time to realize this and accept it. This happened during B.Com.
Have you studied arts or obtained formal training in it?
Yes. After B.Com I did Masters (2005) and Bachelors(2003) in fine arts(painting) from Visual Arts Faculty of Banaras Hindu University.
Describe your art style.
I follow Surrealism.
For how many years have you practiced your art, and have you had to overcome any hurdles on the way?
Practicing art as a hobby from childhood and as a profession after masters in 2005. So almost 15 years. Yes, but without any hurdles and challenges, there is no success.
What memorable responses have you had to your work?
I have received both appreciation and criticism. Appreciation inspires me to work harder, criticism helps me to be more focused and observant. Awards that I have received are memorabilia of appreciation.
What do you aim to achieve in the future?
Have certain ideas in mind wish to establish them in art
Is there any specific area you now wish to explore?
A new format of art and expression, like new media, digital art, performing art.
What would you advise youngsters inclined towards the arts?
Sharing what I follow myself. Be passionate, work hard, do not give up, be grounded, don’t miss any opportunity to learn.
