An Embrace with Dazzling Drizzle: A Poem by Deepti Srivastava

Hey! heard that chirpy voice, mom its drizzling outside…
The call was frm my little girl, with twinkle in her eyes…
She held my hand tight, ignited my instinct inside…
I too rushed like a child, leaving my hot tea aside…

Sultry were those nights and sun that too bright…
Stepping in that soft drizzle, my soul started to chime…
Enveloped in nature’s arms, all pains sorrows untwined…
Emotions dancing to a new rhythm drops silver released all binds…

The first shower from the sky, on birds bees insects and flies…
Sparkled all green grasslands, greener the trees those high rise…
Recharged refreshed flora and fauna, humming melodious sounds and rhymes…

Gazing up towards that dark grey sky,
farmers bowed down with dazzling eyes…
Soil that heated and farms parched dry,
embracing tiny drops, all revived with a sigh…

Quenching all thirsty rivers and springs…
Droplets are nurturing the seeds
and saplings…..
Divine Mother Nature from her shrine,
Tickles n smiles…
Her soft caress soothens, like a lullaby…
