A Beacon of Hope: A Poem by Aishath Shabana

0

The light in your eyes, soft yet bright,
A beacon of hope in the coldest night.
It whispers of dreams still waiting to rise,
Like dawn breaking gently across the skies.

The smile on your lips, tender and true,
A beacon of hope in the darkest blue.
A quiet promise, a soothing grace,
A touch of warmth, time can’t erase.

The beat in your heart, steady and strong,
A beacon of hope, a pulse of song.
Through sorrow, through joy, through love and through pain,
It rises, it falls, then rises again.

The bounce in your step, light and free,
A beacon of hope for the world to see.
It sings of courage, of dancing despite,
Of moving forward, embracing the light.

So carry this light, let it softly gleam,
A beacon of hope, a soul’s quiet dream.
For even when night feels heavy and long,
Hope is the whisper that keeps us strong.
