Victim!: A poem by Shraddha Jhanwar

When her silence mode is on,
The victim is born,
He thinks silence is weak,
As her silence is scared to speak,
She feels silence can melt him,
But she is wrong, silence makes him more violent and strong.

He shows his masculine power,
She silently bears all his tortures,
Day by Day he shows his hitting skills,
She rebels beg, but his attitude and intentions kill her dreams.

Her teary eyes, ask God,
“Why only she is targeted? Why both the genders are not equally Treated ?”
Why can’t this absurd mentality sink in the ocean of inequality?
Is it really, so difficult to respect women?
Or is it ritual, to just torture her emotions!
