The beauty of nature: A poem by Richa Srivastava

Amazing as it can be…
There’s a big treasure under the spread of your green wings,
A treasure you cherish but still, you conceal…

It’s fascinating to discover the life, hidden in you…
Oh, dear Nature! I love, how you play peek-a- boo!
A shelter to many lives, old and new…
You act in silence, without ballyhoo!…

It’s wonderful, how you unfold, the life in you…
Be it a plant from a seed or a colorful butterfly, from a cocoon…

I love, how you empower, every single being…
I love, the sound of birds when they sing…
I love, the sweet taste of honey from the bees…
I love, how you talk to me, as the wind passes through the trees…

It’s breathtaking, to witness, glowing bellies of fireflies at night…
Just as wonderful to see the flowers bloom with the morning light!

It’s awe-inspiring to see the Sun and the Moon, play hide and seek…
They take their turns, to light up the world, without any grumble and feel…

I wonder, how do you do this magic, it’s hard to believe…
Such is ‘ The Beauty of Nature’, as I see.
