Resort
The famous resort on the hilltop of a popular hill station, flanked by a lake on the eastern side, surrounded by tall trees on the other sides, seemed like a haunted place. Yesteryear’s stories related to many suicides committed by people jumping into the lake.
Suite thirteen, located at the far end of the forbidden alley that passed through the dense green patch in the backyard, was scary, especially at night. Rahul had checked in with his newlywed wife for his honeymoon.
The faint sound of footsteps heard late at night–was it real or a figment of their imagination?
