Edifying Solace

0

Is it yours or mine?

Or perhaps everyone’s,

A congenial company–solace,

A smooth, boundless cape,

A second address to life.

A cantankerous being searching for it,

From Vrindavan to the ghats of Banaras,

A seeker in the aromatic streets of Chandan,

Of brass diyas and rose petals,

The Ganga arresting the restlessness in me.

My frugal intellect,

Hide and seek, it plays with solace,

Releasing, hiding, releasing,

Yet its omnipresence reachable,

Sending an edifying sight I yearn to capture!
