Is it possible to define a woman? Who is a woman? Is she a mother or a daughter? While these relationships contribute to her identity, they do not fully acknowledge her essence as a woman.
A woman is an individual with her unique personality. She is a driving force behind various aspects of life. It is a celebration and a joy to be born as a woman. She is the pillar of society, laying the foundation for everything else. She is a fruitful being who reaps and nurtures life. A woman is the backbone of every community.
She is like a pure diamond, shining brilliantly in her own light. She is an ageless wine that grows more beautiful with time, enriched by deep love and affection. From ancient times to modern times, she embodies a superpower. She is an unstoppable hurricane, multitasking and balancing her various roles. A woman wears many hats at once—she can be a mother, a homemaker, an entrepreneur, a scientist, and a dancer, but above all, she is a mother.
No definition can truly do justice to a woman because defining her is to limit her. In essence, a woman is a beautiful creation of God, meant to spread love, happiness, and compassion.
A woman personifies beauty, selfless love, purity, grace, and dignity. She symbolizes virtue, inner strength, patience, resilience, and fortitude.
I am a woman. I possess attributes that no one else has; I can give birth and experience the cycle of menstruation. I have the right to express my emotions whenever I feel the need to do so. I can wear makeup; it is my birthright. There is something about a touch of pink blush that brings a rosy glow. The kohl-rimmed eyes enhance our allure, while ruby lips can capture attention.
Being feminine means embodying compassion and nurturing qualities. It also involves spritzing on perfume and dancing in high heels, donning a party dress, or putting flowers in my hair.
I enjoy activities like knitting and singing—often off-key—and I embrace my emotions. As a woman, I have the privilege to cry when I am sad, laugh when I am happy, and vent out whenever I am stressed.
Jane Austen rightly said, “Give a girl an education and introduce her properly into the world, and ten to one she has the means of settling well, without further expense.”
Being a woman has its upsides and downsides, but I am confident that the advantages of being a woman outweigh the disadvantages. I am not perfect by any means, but my intentions are good, my heart is pure, and I love selflessly. I am worth it. I always have been and always will be.
