Sadly Enough

Each day we inch closer to the ultimate verity,

Sadly enough we fail to own up,

Life’s duende and ardor with alacrity

We miss out on today’s endearing moments,

Postponing happiness for a later date,

Fail to acknowledge that life’s miles,

Are beset with both happiness and sorrow,

A lean day largely dispenses a fresh bright morrow

The sooner we embrace life’s twists and turns,

With an ambit of acceptance, love and devotion,

A winged hope will perch on our window sill

Wipe out  sediments of whine and demur,

Motifs of joyous sunshine will decorate living,

And iron out life’s creases and meanders.
