A bond, a friendship, out worldly it seems,
Defying the usual love, the obvious perspective,
Exist, it does, between two humans,
Difference in their genders, irrespective…
A reflection of their own they see in each other,
The warmth of such love is bereft of amorous earthy ways.
Untouched, untainted by a speck of carnal dust,
Loyalty, unflinching, never should it fade away….
A question rises in every mind…
How on earth can such a form of love ever sustain?
Just as the celestial bodies, the sun and the moon,
A true partnership between two people, unto death, does remain.
Tough it is, to explain the norms of this companionship;
Tough enough to maintain divinity, of this special relationship;
Easy it isn’t,
to keep the light glowing equally in both;
Easy it won’t be,
to have someone tied to you through this kinship.
Blessed is that soul, who is bestowed with a platonic soulmate,
To receive paradisical strength and trustworthy proximity of friendship.
