Barren Land

Everyone calls it a barren land,

Distant from life and rain,

But nobody knows it’s past,

It was a beautiful place with grains.

The sky above weeps tears of sorrow,

As if mourning for a disastrous tomorrow,

All the crops have been lost,

The land is without a water drop.

It’s an alarm for the present and next generation,

The earth is going to be heated up with urbanization,

It will be impossible to survive and breathe,

The scorching heat of the sun will burn our skin.

Wake up dear human, before it’s too late,

Let’s pledge to plant twelve trees a year,

Let’s hear the grief that echoes through the land,

Let’s make this world a better place to live.
