On a solitary evening, soft dying day
A rambling, rococo cloud I became
On wings of poesy holding pen, paper & pad
A mystic mariner in quest of oceanic waters I became
The sail of ship fluttered
Off the shore solitary evening’s voyage began
Drunk on the bounteous beauty of ocean
Trailing desires & exploring dreams I began
The silvery shine of guttural laugh of waves
Saccharine sweetness of whiff of benign breeze
The ebbing sand bathing in the azure waters of sea
Beckoned me into its soft sandy arms
To reach the troves of vintage treasure
Moss smothered shells cantaloupe of corals, gregarious greens on ocean bed
Their beaming bodies gleaming in the rays of milky moonbeam
Dreamy intoxicated by the nectar of ocean’s foaming fervour
Heavenly symphonies played in divine lustre
The solitary evening laid bare the soul of ocean
Exterior became a facade when in ‘Jal Tarang’ of ocean,
Soul merged with waves!
