Who or what inspired you to embark on your own journey in the world of arts?
It was during the year 2014 when my daughter turned one and I did not want to resume my corporate job of financial analyst, so I took up drawing as a hobby, but when did it turned into passion and profession is all unknown to me.
Have you studied arts or obtained formal training in it?
I was already an MBA post-graduate, but when I realized my interest, I did diploma from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh (Distance) and kept on learning from different online and offline platforms, but I have no formal education in arts.
Describe your art style.
I don’t have any style in particular, but, I like doing a lot of landscapes, flowers in watercolor and other modes and media.
For how many years have you practiced your art, and have you had to overcome any hurdles on the way?
Its been 5 years only, since I have been practicing arts. Talking about overcoming the hurdles…..yes, I did face hurdles and still facing them. But these hurdles have given lot of learning and experiences.
What memorable responses have you had to your work?
There are a few….but the one I would share is, when I had to create an artwork for my own living room….as I had to create something which my entire family and me had to see for long coming years of life…so that has to be original, creative, soothing, and pleasing for everyone. So I painted a rising sun of size- 5 feet * 3.5 feet.
What do you aim to achieve in the future?
Some recognition.
Is there any specific area you now wish to explore?
The journey has just begun for me, there is lot to be explored and somethings are to left on hard work and destiny. Great things may during the exploration which I might not be aware of.
What would you advise youngsters inclined towards the arts?
Be determined, focused, and be original. Rather than following others’ work and copying artwork, try to be innovative, creative and find out your strong hand in one of the which media and have expertise in it.
