Empty Shadows
Riya thought she had found love again—stolen moments, whispered lies, and promises made in the dark. For a while, it felt thrilling, almost real. But every time she returned home, guilt clung to her like a perfume that wouldn’t fade. The man she met beyond her marriage never asked about her dreams, but only her time. Slowly, the excitement turned hollow, the messages fewer, and the silence louder. One evening, she looked into the mirror and saw not love, but loss–loss of respect, peace, and self. She finally understood–an extramarital affair breathes passion, but never truly lives.

Streetlight
Sitting under the tree, below the streetlight, Ravi was struggling hard to concentrate on his studies for the ensuing competitive examination.
An orphan by birth, he had to work hard whole day to make ends meet, and could find time to study only at night. Being homeless with no permanent shelter, it was a tough decision he had undertaken.
He was determined to change his future, overcoming every obstacle in his path, as he had experienced the dark phase of his life. But destiny had a different plan; that night, a speeding car crushed his life to a screeching halt.
