“All my friends are joining management studies, and it is only me, the unlucky one, not to have been born in an affluent household,” Suja grumbled.
“If you couldn’t support my dreams, why did you even bring me into this world?” Suja’s words, filled with resentment, were aimed at her ageing father, who had just returned from his duty as a head constable at the Police Chowki.
“Your father made a mistake,” Suja’s mother said spitefully. “He should have only finished his raid at the brothel and returned, instead of worrying about the bleak future of an infant girl child.”

Never Give Up
Surveen met with an accident when she was just fourteen years old. All her dreams and goals were shattered at such a young age. She got crippled from the waist down, and became wheelchair-bound. Once a bubbly chirpy girl, she had gone completely silent now. One day she was peeping outside her window and saw two blind children enjoying life and having fun. That day something jolted inside Surveen. She decided to come out of her gloom, and enjoy life once again. It has taken her time to get used to this chair. Now it’s time to try new things.
