Threads of Devotion

Your love brightens my days as the golden corn

Standing tall on its reedy stalk from night ‘til morn

How do I question your steadfastness when I witness

An ocean of devotion in you, and hardly any pretence

My days filled with blessings, my nights with warmth

When I behold your heavenly face, a sight I look forth

In the desert of beguiling countenances, a form so true

Is an oasis for the wanderer searching for hints of blue

The world shrouded in mystery haunts my imagination

Your words are the salve that soothe the mind’s agitation

How else should I pronounce you but my angelic mate

For in you, my heart finds solace, existence rests its fate.

With every sunrise, and every sunset I find my reason renewed,

In your steadfast gaze, the meanderings of life are subdued.

Beneath the veil of time and tide, we journey hand in hand,

Through storms of doubt and tribulations, we withstand.

Your love, a beacon glowing in the dark, unfading and true,

Nudges me gently homeward when the world feels askew.

In your laughter, my Love, the sun’s golden beams softly glow,

In your arms, I watch the rivers of life quietly ebb and flow.
