I walk through life with a silent heart,
Carrying wounds that tear me apart.
Smiles I wear, so bright and wide,
But none can see the tears I hide.
In shadows deep, I stand alone,
A quiet ache, to none it’s shown.
The weight I bear, it bends my spine,
Yet I pretend that I’m just fine.
In every glance, I seek relief,
But no one knows my hidden grief.
I laugh, I joke, I play the game,
While inside burns a constant flame.
The words unspoken, the cries unheard,
My silent pain, without a word.
But through it all, I still remain,
Though no one sees, I bear the strain.
One day, perhaps, I’ll find my voice,
In healing’s light, I’ll make my choice.
Until then, I’ll walk the lane,
Silent, strong, with unseen pain.
