Spring: A poem by Manpreet Chadha

When nippy, scent laden sensuous zephyr
Tingles your body and stirs your spirits
When cozy morning sun with a golden glow
Basks your being with warmth, steady and slow

When boughs loaded with mesmerizing blooms
Leave you awestruck with their myriad hues
You know SPRING, the king, has arrived to stay
To envelope the universe with freshness and fay

Mother Earth teems with multitudinous life
The fragrance fills nostrils sweeping away strife
As if kins from foreign shores are back to empty nests
Like a wave of joy, a soothing balm for yearning parents

Thawing snow thaws bones and bodies frozen
Nature’s symphonies soothe scarred harried humans
The forests, the woods resound with a thousand sounds
Injecting every atom with elation without bounds

With gaiety they gush, the springs, the rivers
They brim with the bliss of blue gold, the nectar
With velvety leaves, Nature’s bosom glistens
On lush green carpets, life exults in the spring season
