The ALS Arthritis Forum organized a walkathon in Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, on 9th March 2025
The ALS Arthritis Forum organized a walkathon in Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, on 9th March 2025 to raise awareness about arthritis and celebrate the high spirits of arthritis patients and caregivers.
Members of the ALS Arthritis Forum Community enthusiastically participated in this event. Mr. Manoj Krishnan (Founder, ALS) extended gratitude to all the participants of the Walkathon. After the walk, Vandana Bhasin (Editor, ALSPHERE Magazine) conducted a meditation session. A poetry reading session was also organised on this occasion in which Manoj Krishnan, Shivpriya, Manisha Amol, Anita Chand, Vyomi Mallik, Barkha Bofa, Geeta Kishore, Dr. Bishakha Sarma, Ramendu Sarma, Roopali Saxena, Chhaya Sonwane, Kiren Babal, Vandana Bhasin, Dr. Shehla Ahmed, Meenaki Chaddha, Nishi Miglani, Manju Miglani and Poonam Chopra participated.
Arthritis, a leading cause of disability globally, affects over 350 million people worldwide, with osteoarthritis being the most common type. It’s an umbrella term for over 100 conditions that cause joint pain and inflammation, impacting people of all ages, races, and genders.
Mr. Manoj Krishnan (Founder, ALS) says, “To spread awareness about arthritis and enhance the quality of life, it is important to connect arthritis patients and caregivers. Our community works to build a strong network of people with arthritis, including patients, caregivers, physicians, and volunteers, and provides our members relevant advice and support.”
The ALS Arthritis Forum is a support group that spreads awareness about arthritis and connects those suffering from this chronic ailment and their caregivers.
