Pink: A poem by Anwesha Bhattacharya

That rush of romance that glows on her cheek,
Whenever the shy young boy, who is a little meek,
Peeps behind the curtain without a blink,
The color of love is undoubtedly ‘Pink’!
Shades on the palette- a deep crimson,
When the artist seeks to mellow the setting sun,
He adds a tinge of white on the brink,
And merges it all ina rosy-hued ‘Pink’!
A revolution seethes in the heart of youth,
When the gory darkness is unable to soothe,
Newfound feminism raises us to think,
Changing the silhouette from black to Pink!
The seed of life is planted in the womb,
Celebrations resound with joy and aplomb,
The umbilical cord forms the tender link,
With tiny fingers and toes born out of the Pink!
