Enigma: A poem by Mir Samsul Haque

Dwelling in the world of enigma
Being ensnared to cliffhanging moments
As been grappled with Dickensian dilemma
Waning wonts and a thousand desires
Sneak into every soul in all honesty
Death’s enigma being a seizure of all pleasures
There’s a light at the end of the tunnel
Success tumbles with zeitgeist of time
Mind yet inanely yells, how to solve mundane riddle!
Before you venture, nurture innate valour
Like a knight come out of the circle of crises
A howling enigma when there’s a cry of despair
Fresh morning is the harbinger of new hopes
Melancholy! when the sun sleeps in twilight time
Tall shadows eclipse a million of hearts’ coves
Trying to unknot this enigma day in and day out
Undertaking an earnest endeavour like a sobre sage
Truthfully, it’ll be a futile execise even if one thinks aloud
So soar up whatsoever be the life’s pitch of game
Lest aside the layman’s litany of commonest vibes
An eerie enigma has confounded many, just stride on
No need to be too much namby pamby in dark despair
Be rooted to realities as they come in their way
Enigma can hardly hinder a nimble soul, however near
